Today we had our first appointment with the high-risk obstetrician Dr. Wickstrom at St. Lukes perinatology center. It was a lot of paperwork, answering questions and getting shuffled from room to room, but the very best part we got to do first which kept our spirits up.
The very first photo of Baby Thompson will be uploaded soon! The baby was measuring quite a bit smaller than it should for 9 weeks. So they said I was 6weeks and 4 days and adjusted my due date from November 29th to December 17th. Looks like we should have off work for Christmas! We could see that heart beating at 130bpm. The doctor said that the rate was good for six weeks, but the books we have say that 130bpm correlates with the middle of the seventh week. So all in all we have a little bit more clarity on the due date, but not much.
Dr. Wickstrom said that everything looked great with me and baby and that she did not anticipate any complications with my lupus.
And of course before we could leave the hospital they wanted a second UA for the day and more blood work. My veins are going to be completely scared over by the end of this pregnancy if they aren't already. Oh well, nothing I wouldn't pay for a healthy baby girl or boy.
And yes, Jeremy and I are beginning to work on names, but don't ask because we won't be telling anyone:)

About Us
- Jeremy & Lacey
- Edmond, Oklahoma, United States
- Jeremy and I met in high school. We were members of the same church youth group. One night before youth group it was raining very hard. My mom suggested that I call Jeremy for a ride. I really didn't want to- being a lowly sophomore it wouldn't be very cool to call a senior for a ride. For some reason (most likely because of God's prodding) I called Jeremy. Within the next week we hung out three more times. Then I came down with Mono, but I still had the strength to ask Jeremy to be my date to a Saddie Hawkins dance. Jeremy of course said yes. A few days before the dance Jeremy asked me to date him at Gumby's Pizza after a friend's baptism and wrecking his car. We have been inseparable ever since. After 6 years of dating, Jeremy and I said "I do". The last year and a half has been a whirlwind. Jeremy moved to KC while I finished my nursing degree. I began my nursing career and now Jeremy will be graduating in May. This May also brings more change as we will be moving and starting new jobs in Edmond, Oklahoma. In addition we found out that we are expecting our first child to arrive in December. Follow our blog as God takes us on the wonderful journey of building our family.
