Today we had our first appointment with our doctor here in Oklahoma City. We got to see the baby via ultrasound again. The heart rate was in the 180's this time and he/she was very active. The ultrasound tech asked me to cough a couple of times to get a better look at things and when I did the baby would jump up like he/she was bouncing on a trampoline. It was very cute. They gave us their thoughts on what they thought the gender was, but we are going to wait a few more weeks to make certain before we will let you all know. We are 12 weeks along and it looks like we are still on track for a December 14th baby (sorry Corbin, I will try to make up a day in the next few weeks).
The doctor was concerned about one measurement that indicates an increased risk for genetic issues so he wants us to return on June 19th for another ultrasound, a glucose tolerance test, an Echocardiogram, and a couple of other tests. We also had a blood test run at this appointment to check for an increased risk of Down Syndrome and Edwards Syndrome. We are anxiously awaiting the results. Please pray that the baby's heart has formed as it should, that if there is anything amiss that the cardiologist will see it on the echo, and for the baby and I's general health.
On another note we were so excited and grateful to find out today that Jeremy will be able to transfer with Target down to OKC and he will start June 9th, the day after we return from vacation.

About Us
- Jeremy & Lacey
- Edmond, Oklahoma, United States
- Jeremy and I met in high school. We were members of the same church youth group. One night before youth group it was raining very hard. My mom suggested that I call Jeremy for a ride. I really didn't want to- being a lowly sophomore it wouldn't be very cool to call a senior for a ride. For some reason (most likely because of God's prodding) I called Jeremy. Within the next week we hung out three more times. Then I came down with Mono, but I still had the strength to ask Jeremy to be my date to a Saddie Hawkins dance. Jeremy of course said yes. A few days before the dance Jeremy asked me to date him at Gumby's Pizza after a friend's baptism and wrecking his car. We have been inseparable ever since. After 6 years of dating, Jeremy and I said "I do". The last year and a half has been a whirlwind. Jeremy moved to KC while I finished my nursing degree. I began my nursing career and now Jeremy will be graduating in May. This May also brings more change as we will be moving and starting new jobs in Edmond, Oklahoma. In addition we found out that we are expecting our first child to arrive in December. Follow our blog as God takes us on the wonderful journey of building our family.
