Mid August Update

Wow! I didn't realize it had been so long since our last post. Life has been very busy around here the last few weeks. We went house hunting about a month ago. We saw 27 houses all around Edmond and Deer Creek in one day. The last two were our favorites, but we both really fell in love with one. We put in an offer to close on August 28th and we have been preparing to move again ever since.
We have had several doctors appointments since the last post. Baby and Mommy are both doing well besides the dizziness, lightheadedness, swelling, joint pain, and fatigue. We are very thankful that we have not had any major complications. We went through two or three weeks in which everyone asked us if we had felt the baby move yet and with disappointment we would reply "No". I couldn't wait for the day when I would feel him kick. And then all of sudden I can't get him to stop and he has his days and nights mixed up. Now when I am at work I am constantly distracted by someone kicking me in the bladder and when I try to sleep at night like a "normal" person I have someone punching me in the stomach.
Although, I might sound like I am complaining we are very grateful for every kick because it is a reminder that we are growing a healthy and active little boy.
Jeremy turned 26 yesterday. He is starting to realized that the big 3-0 is not too far away.
Check back soon for belly, house, and nursery pictures!!

  1. Hey Lacey,
I was just at lunch with Alicia and she told me about your baby shower, and I was like "oh, I would have liked to have gone!" and Alicia was like, "Well Lacey said you were invited!". Roy and I moved in June, so I'm wondering if maybe it didn't get forwarded to our new address and thats why I didn't get the invite...anyways...I felt really bad that I missed it without even knowing! I can't wait to see pics of your new house! Make sure you keep your blog updated!!

About Us

Edmond, Oklahoma, United States
Jeremy and I met in high school. We were members of the same church youth group. One night before youth group it was raining very hard. My mom suggested that I call Jeremy for a ride. I really didn't want to- being a lowly sophomore it wouldn't be very cool to call a senior for a ride. For some reason (most likely because of God's prodding) I called Jeremy. Within the next week we hung out three more times. Then I came down with Mono, but I still had the strength to ask Jeremy to be my date to a Saddie Hawkins dance. Jeremy of course said yes. A few days before the dance Jeremy asked me to date him at Gumby's Pizza after a friend's baptism and wrecking his car. We have been inseparable ever since. After 6 years of dating, Jeremy and I said "I do". The last year and a half has been a whirlwind. Jeremy moved to KC while I finished my nursing degree. I began my nursing career and now Jeremy will be graduating in May. This May also brings more change as we will be moving and starting new jobs in Edmond, Oklahoma. In addition we found out that we are expecting our first child to arrive in December. Follow our blog as God takes us on the wonderful journey of building our family.
