Oops!

Oops! I can't believe we are getting close to a month since our last post. Sorry to all those that have been patiently waiting. We have had a busy few weeks.
I have started back to work on the 10th and Bible Study on the 4th (studying Hebrews). I worked two twelve hour night shifts the first two weeks and this week I am working three twelves. I definitely did not miss the stress that work adds to my life. The first week that I was back we were only using 6 nurses and had 18-21 babies and things were pretty slow and laid back. This week we are just about full and are working with 10 nurses- the most our little unit can muster. They are calling for us to work overtime and the Type A/never sit idle person inside me says "Yes, work overtime," but I refuse to be apart from N.J. anymore than I already am by working full-time. Overall the transition so far has gone better than I was thinking it would. We will definitely be busy and the house will never be quite as clean as it was, but we feel blessed to both have jobs right now.
One more tid-bit on the job front. Jeremy was offered a part-time position with security at the hospital. He can pick up shifts whenever they fit into our schedule and can work at Baptist, Southwest, Yukon, and the Cancer Center. He already has some security experience, but this will allow him to get some more and hopefully be a better candidate for the police department. Plus, this will bring in a little more income to pay off student loans and maybe allow me to cut down to part-time sometime in the future.
N.J. is down to one night feeding now! We are so thankful and feel like totally different people now that we are getting more than 3 or 4 hours of sleep at night. He began sleeping longer stretches on his own for the most part just a few nights before I started back to work. I am very thankful for this because I was worried about Jeremy being up at night a lot with N.J. and then having to go to work.
N.J. is smiling, laughing, and cooing a lot now, especially in the mornings. I guess he takes after his mom in this aspect (I am the morning person. Jeremy is a night owl). N.J. even rolled over from his tummy to his back for the first time on the 12th! I was so excited. He acted like it was no big deal. Didn't even look surprised.
Well, sounds like N.J.'s nap is over and so is this post.
Love you all. So glad to have you in our lives.

About Us

Edmond, Oklahoma, United States
Jeremy and I met in high school. We were members of the same church youth group. One night before youth group it was raining very hard. My mom suggested that I call Jeremy for a ride. I really didn't want to- being a lowly sophomore it wouldn't be very cool to call a senior for a ride. For some reason (most likely because of God's prodding) I called Jeremy. Within the next week we hung out three more times. Then I came down with Mono, but I still had the strength to ask Jeremy to be my date to a Saddie Hawkins dance. Jeremy of course said yes. A few days before the dance Jeremy asked me to date him at Gumby's Pizza after a friend's baptism and wrecking his car. We have been inseparable ever since. After 6 years of dating, Jeremy and I said "I do". The last year and a half has been a whirlwind. Jeremy moved to KC while I finished my nursing degree. I began my nursing career and now Jeremy will be graduating in May. This May also brings more change as we will be moving and starting new jobs in Edmond, Oklahoma. In addition we found out that we are expecting our first child to arrive in December. Follow our blog as God takes us on the wonderful journey of building our family.
